Conversations with Danny...

Last night in the car...

D: Mom? You know how we're in a battle?

Me: What do you mean?

D: You know, how we're in a battle against the evolutionists and all those others who aren't Christians?

Me: Yep.

D: And you know how when we're arguing or debating with them, they're like other countries we're at war with.

Me: What do you mean?

D: We cannot ally with them to defeat a foe. We can't have any allies in this battle.

Me: You're right. In this battle the enemy of my enemy is not my friend.

D: That's what I was thinking.

To understand how a conversation like this even occurs, you must know we're in the midst of a WWI study, and our reading and conversations are full to the brim with talk of allies, enemies, battles, weapons, ideas, consequences, etc.

"...and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up."

I love homeschooling. :)
