Snow...

It's March 1st which means only 19 more days before spring arrives. Since we still have soooo much to do here on our little homestead to get ready for it, we weren't the least bit disappointed to wake up this morning to a blanket of snow.

The view out my kitchen window...

From our front porch...

The deer fencing surrounding our small fruit trees is in need of a little repair...snow is heavy and chicken wire is weak. :)

Just me trying to be creative with the camera...

Blessings!

~Lisa

  1. I know that you are probably tired of snow, but here on the other side of the country, we had very little :)

Thank you for your encouraging words, they did a great deal of good.

    Peace be with you Lisa,

    Maria

  4. Thanks for sharing the snow photo's!
I did live in northern Illinois and snowfall like this was very quiet and peaceful. However the other snows were a chore to deal with and commute through. I have to say I don't miss it except for the times it was like your photo's.
    Again, thanks for sharing.

  6. Oh my goodness. So warm it was well over 70's in the house yesterday. We're jealous!

  7. Wow-you did get some snow, there! We went from 70 degrees to 41 from Wed to Thurs...and now are enduring the high winds and 35 degrees! Some crazy pre-Spring weather all over!

Love your photos! Very creative! Hope you and your family are well!

  8. Debbie, We don't get nearly as much snow as Mary up in B.C. does, but we'll take what we can get -- I love it!

Shara & Pamela, Your 70 degree days sounds wonderful; I'm looking forward to afternoon read alouds on the lawn with my kiddos. Hope you and yours are safe and not impacted by the recent storms. Praying for you both!

    Blessings,

    ~Lisa

  9. It's beautiful. I'd like about one day and then would want to be back to the 50s we're promised next week. Our state is grieving over houses flattened and more importantly lives lost in the tornadoes yesterday. I'm thankful that our God is with us whether it's snowing or storming.

    1. Amen, Pamela. Praying for an end to these weather systems that are wreaking havoc and causing so much destruction. Stay safe, ~Lisa

  10. Oh, my goodness! That's beautiful! Isn't God's weather just amazing!

We haven't had any snow here this year. None. And I doubt we are going to either as the days have been in the 50 to 70 range here! But we've enjoyed that. I am just the type who thinks if it isn't snowing then Spring just needs to come on. Not that we normally get much, but a winter with none... well, that's unusual!

    1. Sonia, thanks for stopping by. :) A winter without snow? I would miss it. At our elevation, we've not had a winter w/o snow for going on 6 years now which is nice. Our forecast is for more tonight and tomorrow and then we're supposed to break the 60 degree mark on Thursday. Spring is in the air! Blessings, ~Lisa
