Pheasant feathers...

Pretty, aren't they?

While driving to the post office earlier today, a pheasant flew across the road right in front of our car. The kids and I heard a "thump" and knew we'd hit it. I never even thought to look for damage, but Anna saw feathers on the bumper below the grill. That's when I noticed this:

Yes, that's a tiny feather still stuck to the car. Poor pheasant. Poor grill.

  2. Thanks for dropping by, Marie. :) Since moving out to the foothills, we've not had any collisions with wildlife; we've been told, "It's not "if" you hit a deer; it's "when." This incident happened on Friday, and then yesterday morning a deer darted across the road right in front of our vehicle -- I truly don't know how we missed it. Providence, yes, but unpleasant all the same. Hope all is going well for you and yours. Wishing you a blessed Lord's Day! ~Lisa
