this and that...
last week's winner, this week's giveaway, and a little bit of what's to come :)

But first...

That's right! Tomorrow is the big day AnnaLynn (and the rest of us) have been counting down to -- Jessica's arrival! Please keep both her and Zack in your prayers for safe travels. Thank you!!

My apologies for not getting this posted yesterday as promised...

The winner of last week's giveaway is Beth Anne!! Congratulations! Send your email to me at happyindolevalley@gmail.com and Pattie from Charlie Chalk will be in touch! :)

Yesterday I did post our fourth and final September giveaway and hope many of you will join in! Like all my other September giveaways, this one is open to you wherever you may live -- my way of saying thanks! Please feel free to join in even if you've already won as you can always gift what you already have, right?

What's to come? While my time here may be somewhat scarce over the next couple weeks while the daughter and son in law are in town, I do hope to share as I have time. But don't hold me to it...as much as I'd hoped to be sharing all about our July road trip, I didn't do such a good job (although I am slowly going through pictures and still plan to share!); it needs to be done if for no other purpose than to record our journey for the sake of remembering all we saw and did. :)

AnnaLynn has been baking up a storm; the fruit of almost three years of our Muffin Mondays. She's confident in the kitchen and enjoys browsing through cookbooks looking for new ideas. :)  After several months of not posting any new muffins, we're thinking we're going to open things up to include pastries and other deliciousness. AnnaLynn's chocolate chip biscotti and quick cinnamon breakfast buns will be first up.

Tomatoes! As our final picking of tomatoes ripens, I've enjoyed roasting them with onion and garlic from our garden to create a savory spaghetti sauce which will be processed in the canner this morning.

Lord willing, I'll have a yarn along post to share tomorrow; my tea leaves is coming along nicely!

Blessings,

~Lisa
