daffodils & Charlotte :)
{mindful monday #8}

{Mindful Mondays}
a good starting place for the week
and a nifty way to document what I am...

Reading: A Light in the Window (Mitford #2) -- still

Listening to: Modernity lectures by Dr. Grant, podcasts by Kara Murphy, and the news which is sometimes quite discouraging

Studying: the Word (always), conflict in literature, and continuing to research ways to keep the local deer away (this, I fear, may be a problem that is never solved -- we discovered a trail of hoof prints in our newly finished flowerbed. Argh!)

Creating: several secret projects (still) and a bigger size of this for a dear friend's sweet babe

Cooking: a roast is in the crockpot for tonight's dinner

Feeling: excited that spring is almost here -- daffodils are in bloom!

Thinking: about how quickly time goes by...Linnea (grandbaby #2) is a month old already!

Praying: for several blog friends who are going through rough times

Thankful: for the blessing of spending Saturday with Charlotte! (And a little miffed with myself for forgetting my camera!) The above pic was taken last Saturday which is also when yesterday's pic was taken :)

In case you missed it, Tuesday's the last day to enter my give-a-way!!

Happy Monday,

~Lisa

  1. It's so hard to imagine little Miss Charlotte that big already! What a cutie patootie!

  2. I am so excited for spring to arrive! Your daffodils are so pretty and Charlotte is adorable. She's getting so big! I remember when she was as tiny as her sister.

  3. Charlotte is absolutely adorable, Lisa, and congratulations on your second grandbaby! We had a daffodil in our garden last week - just the one but I was so pleased to see it! There were a few crocus out too. I think that by the time we get home from California my bulbs will be in full bloom :-)
