Viridescent...
{and a giveaway!}

I am thrilled to announce the release of my newest knitting pattern, Viridescent, a project I was blessed to work on in collaboration with Amanda from The Life and Times of Julian and Amanda!

Viridescent is an elegant, ultra-feminine crescent-shaped shawl featuring repeating rows of garter and stockinette stitch punctuated with elongated stitches for a delicious, lacy texture. The gently ruffled border is femininity defined! A straightforward knit, Viridescent is suitable for advanced beginners. The pattern was designed especially for (and using!) Amanda Makes Yarn's luxurious Duplicity Fingering -- a kettle-dyed 50/50 merino/alpaca 2-ply that comes in 438 yard skeins. The colorway Jadeite was used for the sample pictured above. Special thanks to Tracey and Sarah, two of the speediest knitters I know, for testing knitting for me!

Amanda and I together with Carrie from Stolen Minutes are co-hosting a giveaway on Instagram today thru Tuesday, August 9, that you won't want to miss...I hope you'll click over and check it out! If you'd like, I've created a coupon code ("Viridescent") for 25% off Viridescent and/or any other of my Ravelry patterns now thru midnight on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

Finally, if you're visiting from Ginny's Yarn Along, I've just started Gone Girl which I picked up at a charity shop while in Edinburgh, and I'm listening to The Girl on the Train via Audible. Both are rather different from my usual reading selections but I'm entirely invested in both and am looking forward to seeing where all the twists and turns wind up.

****this giveaway is now closed****  Congratulations to @nanostitchlab on IG who is our winner!

Joining Ginny :)
