weekend euchariteo
{and a before & after!}

Friday morning...

Friday evening...

Happy Monday! Now that my desk work is complete for the day, I'm enjoying an iced coffee while looking at photos from our slow, yet productive, weekend:

a lazy morning spent knitting :: a gorgeous evening sky :: stargazing in the late night (Pereids!) :: blueberry jam making :: post installation by my hard-working men :: Worship with a church family I love :: Sunday afternoon fellowship and volleyball.

I've been promising to share some of the work we've been doing out back, and the pictue above pretty much says it all! Stairs installed off the deck, a little landscaping to make it look pretty, shrubs planted along the tree line on the east side (the back of the photo), and posts installed which will support shade cloth that still needs to be installed. Here's a pic from last summer for comparison:

So thankful for the completion of homestead projects, even when they take a long time... So thankful for a new week and all the opportunity that comes with it! Summer has finally arrived with warm days and hot days. Lots of watering happening here to keep flowers blooming and the garden growing. :)

Weekending with Karen :)

  1. That back yard is going to be awesome! I have been knitting this weekend after limited time while relocating our son. Let's just say I've been in heaven :)

  2. I love how your toenails match your knitting! Your back deck looks great! What a wonderful space to hang out!

  3. What is your lovely knitting pattern .. love the yarn and with the matching toenails perfection.

  4. great deck!!!! don't you love it when pending projects are finished...I don't care if it's a house project or a knitting one----a FO is something to treasure!!!

  5. My walking friend and I were just talking of a similiar matter this morning on our walk. Home projects that seem to take a while to complete, and as women we can get impatient with the long process. So pleased to see your deck's progress and your thankful spirit.
    I enjoyed the photos of your weekend!

Thanks so much for visiting; your kind thoughts and questions are always welcome. :)
