Browsing through my Google Reader this morning I came upon this post where I found the following quotes:
"I long to accomplish great and noble tasks, but it is my chief duty and joy to accomplish humble tasks [like growing peas and making croutons ~L] as though they were great and noble."
"What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work [wife, mom, gardener, etc. ~L] as sacred and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow."
“She asks not how her behavior may please a stranger, or how another’s judgment may approve her conduct; let her beloved be content and she is glad.”
~Charles Spurgeon describing the excellent wife
A nice follow up for last evening's post, eh? Thanks for reading. :)
