I'm going out to Sauvie Island today to pick blueberries...on faith...and with an umbrella just in case! I'm having trouble commenting on some blogs, so I'm now going by anonymous...aka, Kim (Jabez Farm). Have a great weekend!
I can do better than loan it to you. I'll give you one of those 100 degree days we've been having in the heat wave. Thermometer reads the 90's (high) but with humidity and heat index we're getting 107. Maybe we could split the difference and we'd all be comfy!Sonia
Ohhhhhhh I FEEL your pain. They are only predicting 75* up here. ((sigh)) I hope the zucchini , basil, cucumbers and sweet peppers soak up every ounce of sun they possibly can! Praying some warm weather for you and for me. ((HUGS))Blessings and ((HUGS))In Him<><-Mary
Hope you have AC! If only we could split the difference...
No need to borrow it -- TAKE it and keep it! We've had more than 20 days over 100* here, and that's not including the heat index. Today's heat index? 111* and that's down right cool because today we have a cold front and our high is only 100.* Man, what a summer. =P EmmaCity Roots, Country Life
Mary - I know!! Our radio station is saying we'll be in the 90s on Sunday, and if it does get there, we'll be hitting the river after church. Praying for your garden and mine! ~Lisa
Kim - We're off to pick blueberries this morning, too, but we'll be staying local. At least it'll still be on the cool side today...they're saying we'll hit 90 on Sunday. If it does, we'll be at the river for the first time this summer. ~Lisa
Emma - Our weather patterns this summer could not be more different. I know we'd be miserable if we were having the summer so many of you out there are experiencing. We're supposed to hit 90 this Sunday, I still won't believe it until I see it, since we've only hit 80 two times so far this year. My corn is only 8" high (and surely won't mature for harvest) and our cukes and green beans are about the same. One thing for sure is that we won't be experiencing a drought here in the NW. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who are suffering through the heat. ~Lisa
Hope you got scads of blueberries! Makes my mouth water! You could definitely have some of our heat in Ohio. We've been wilting for the past week! Won't drop into the 80's until next week!
Pamela - Oh did we ever! Can't wait to make jam, syrup, and do a little baking with them. :) Praying for relief from the heat for everyone out there! Blessings, ~Lisa
You can have some of your unbearable heat! Isn't it crazy that some places have been so hot, and yet other places haven't had much of a summer at all?
Oh my goodness! We'd love to trade for a while. Even the poor kitties have been panting...lol
Thanks so much for visiting; your kind thoughts and questions are always welcome. :)
