Gratituesday - Random blessings :)

However many blessings we expect from God, His infinite liberality will always exceed all our wishes and our thoughts.
~John Calvin

35 quarts of grape juice! Picking free grapes (thanks to my sister's in-laws) Saturday afternoon together with my family and then spending the evening canning together -- priceless. :)

When we got home from grape picking on Saturday, we saw that snow had fallen on Larch Mountain. "Come on, guys! Let's go!" We didn't have to drive far before we reached the elevation where the snow had fallen -- it was c-o-l-d up there! We could've driven further up in elevation, but those grapes were calling. Were we disappointed? Perhaps, but we were still thrilled to see some snow. :)

Bazaar season is quickly approaching (our first one is this coming Saturday), so we've been busy crocheting and beading and making soap... We're praying our hand-crafted goods will be a blessing to the shoppers and that we will in turn be blessed with good sales. :)

And I just had to share this photo. We drive by this street every Thursday morning and have enjoyed the simple beauty of watching the leaves on these trees change color becoming more and more brilliantly red week by week. Gorgeous!

Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. ~I Thessalonians 5:16-18

For what are you thankful today?
Join me for Gratituesday at Heavenly Homemakers!

  1. Your photos are so lovely! Where you live seems to be so lovely! A blessing for my concrete and strip mall-weary suburban eyes...ahhhhh.

Wish I could buy one of your hats! I'm off to see if you have a link to an etsy store or something :-)

  2. Ah, Lori, you are too sweet. :) We've only lived out here for just over five years and are still overwhelmed at the beauty! But then beauty is everywhere. :) Oh, and if you're interested in a hat, I would love to crochet one up for you; feel free to e-mail me at happyindolevalley@gmail.com -- no pressure though.

PS: Your photos this Tuesday a.m. are lovely!!

    Blessings, ~Lisa

Lisa...the beauty of Autumn is everywhere where you are :) What a blessing indeed.

Here the leaves have turned already :(

    In His Love,

  4. Ohhh what busy bees you all are! It has snowed a dusting now up on our homestead but most has melted quickly. Just a teaser.

And look at your hat! I have to still get someone to take a pic of me in my hat. [o=

The trees that turn red are my MOST favorite of all. What a beautiful site to see each week.

    Blessings and ((HUGS))
